Growing Green Gardens is a Michigan 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization which is dedicated to providing young adults on the autistic spectrum the opportunity to work.  This will be accomplished through the growing and selling of flowers, vegetable plants and garden art.  As employees these young adults will also learn the importance of using recycled materials for all of our gardening needs.

Growing Green Gardens

Where everyone is given a chance to grow

According to U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics data, just 32.1 percent of Americans with disabilities are part of the nation’s workforce, well below half the rate for the general population.  For adults with autism, 9 out of 10 are either unemployed or underemployed, regardless of their IQ or education level.  We at Growing Green Gardens are here to change that. Not only are we willing to employ individuals on the spectrum, but we will work together at developing the work social skills needed to be able to go outside of our organization and feel confident about being competitively employable.
